Moai Statues on Easter Island
by Matthew Henningsen

Hello, Friends!  This week we have photos by Matthew Henningsen.  He said that Easter Island, owned by Chile, is one of the 'coolest' places he has ever been.  He mentioned that it's one of the most remote places in the world. It's in the middle of the South Pacific, and the only way to reach it is on a 5 hour flight from Santiago, Chile. No one really knows what the statues were used for.  Some say they are images of revered ancestors, but no one really knows.  Thank you, Matthew, for fascinating views.

Thinking of Matthew, stay tuned.  Sherry will be interviewing him sometime soon!

But tomorrow, Sherry is featuring the blog of someone we are all familiar with.  No further clues, but you will enjoy!

And on Wednesday Susan's theme at Midweek Motif is Mountain!  We all enjoyed what was written for Sumana's food theme!

Be sure to take a look back at Rosemary Nissen-Wade's Maie Casey poem "Two Bottles."  Rosemary manages to find the most interesting poems for The Living Dead, doesn't she?

With no delay, let's share poetry.  After linking below, be sure to stop in and say hello in the comments.  And, of course, enjoy visiting the poems of others who post!
